Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Envico booth at Fieldays 2024!
We had a blast meeting you all and sharing some info about the innovative technology - aerial drone baiting / spitfire smart traps / drone seed pods - we're bringing to the conservation sector to help all of the awesome land guardians out there in the fight to protect and revive our native wildlife and fauna.
It's been an amazing year for our team so far, being announced winners of the 2024 Asia-Pacific Stevie® Award for Project of the Year in the Area of Nature & Biological Diversity, plus category winner for the 2024 NZ Hi-Tech Award for Maori Company of the Year. So it has been really neat to be able to give our own little gift to someone through our Fieldays competition.
A reminder about the Envico prize - the Seed Pods competition winner wins a $100 voucher to their favourite cafe. Yum yum!
We had guesses ranging from 97 Seed Pods... (mmm a bit low)
... right up to 8,800 Seed Pods (wowee - very high)!!
Below are a very excited Milan and Vogue, nieces of Bec from the Waikato. Bec submitted the 'Guess The Seed Pods' entry at the Envico Fieldays stand for the girls and says:
"It only seems right that Milan and Vogue receive the prize as they guessed the closest amount. They were pretty excited to hear they were the winners of the prize! We all remember the Envico stand as their uncle was very interested in the pest control/possum traps and he talked about it for a long time they said..."
The girls have chosen their treat spot where they'll spend the $100 prize voucher.
"We love Fergus Kitchen which is in Rototuna North. We love it because we can play on the outdoor playground while we are there and we always order the fried chicken. We are hoping with the voucher to take our family and enjoy our favourite ice cream sundaes too. Thank you so much!" (Aunty Bec gets to go too and just got upgraded to favourite Aunty status!)
The winning guess made by Bec, Milan and Vogue was 1,105.
